What is Surveillance?

Surveillance is the monitoring of behavior, activities, or information for the purpose of influencing, managing or directing operations.

Typical means of surveillance include electronic equipment such as security cameras, interception of physically or digitally transmitted information, or by human surveillance and intelligence.

Typical Clients

Clients in need of surveillance operations span a wide spectrum, from private individuals to insurance companies, law firms, and corporations.

Surveillance is also used by governments for intelligence gathering, crime prevention, the protection of a person, technology or other asset, or for criminal investigation. Conversely, it is also an operational necessity for criminal organizations as well.

When Surveillance is Needed

Purposes vary, but intelligence gathering operations may be for personally-driven reasons (i.e. surveillance on cheating spouses or troubled children involved in harmful vices) or externally-driven reasons (i.e. individuals making threats of harm, fraudulent activity, corporate theft or espionage, etc.).
